One suggestion provided by Andy Rooney of 60 minutes is to take the return envelope that the junk mail often includes, stuff it full of the contents of the junk mail and send it back.

One other related suggestion by Andy Rooney for unsolicited phone calls is to simply ask them to hold “for a second” and then put the phone down for two minutes and see how long they wait. This will keep the phone operator from calling other victims as well.
